Many Improvements

In small communities such as our village, the leadership and their decisions have a significant effect upon daily life. Over the past two years, I have seen many improvements. The new bioswales are now taking effect. The Southampton Arts Center and Veterans Hall both have much-needed new roofs. Parking lots and roads have been repaved. Traffic congestion solutions are finally being implemented. Trees have been planted throughout the village.

Bill Manger and the trustees have accomplished all of this without piercing the tax cap.

I know Bill Manger to be kind, honest and hardworking. He has tirelessly dedicated himself to the betterment of our village. I’ve seen him present at business openings and cultural events, where he is always positive, energetic and receptive. He has also fostered good relationships with our first responders, fire department and police department.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Southampton Village is now in excellent financial shape, far better than the U.S. government.

For all of these reasons, I believe it would be very beneficial for our community to keep Bill Manger on as mayor and to reelect Roy Stevenson and Robin Brown as trustees.
