Margaret M. Dwyer Of Hampton Bays Dies January 29

Margaret M. Dwyer of Hampton Bays died on January 29 at the East End Hospice Kanas Center for Hospice Care. She was 84.

She moved from Queens to Hampton Bays to make sure her children had a backyard to play in and a beach nearby, her family said, noting that she “was a great mom and to many others a second mom.”

She surely will be missed, they said.

She is survived by her son Justin; her daughter Andrea; three grandchildren, Brittany, Aaron, and Brian; her six grandpups; and her beloved cat “Wiz.”

A visitation will take place on February 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Scott Rothwell Funeral Home, 20 Ponquouge Avenue, Hampton Bays. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on February 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Interment will follow at Good Ground Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation’s may be made to Our Lady of the Hamptons, 160 N. Main Street, Southampton NY 11968; East End Hospice, 52 Old Riverhead Road, Westhampton, NY 11978; or Comaria, 77 Bay Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963.
