Margaret Mary Miller of Sag Harbor died on December 20. She was 99.

Ms. Miller was born in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, on September 11, 1921.

She and her husband Bud raised four children, as survivors of the depression and members of the greatest generation.

Ms. Miller loved to dance, play piano, listen to WOR & WLNG, swim at the Southampton Omni, take tricks at pinochle, knit afghans — while maintaining a healthy holistic lifestyle, spending winters in central Florida and her last 25 years in Sag Harbor.

Her family wished to acknowledge “special love and gratitude for the loving support and dedication of Meredith Hulse, her aide, and the staff and caregivers of The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing — especially the Unit F Team.”

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, John Jacob (Bud); their son John Joseph; and grandson John Francis (Jack).

She is survived by her children, Charlie, Jerry, and Regina; daughters-in-law Linda, Patricia, Liz and her son-in-law Andrew; grandchildren Keith and Christine, Linda Von, Jessica and Rikard, Lindsay and Christian, Dana, Gerard, Nicole; great-grandchildren Riley, Matthew, Kelsey, Grace, Bo and Cal.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Fork Bakery (southforkbakery.org/donate), dedicated to providing meaningful, paid employment to adults with disabilities, would be appreciated by the family.
