Margaret McCaffrey Of Westhampton Dies May 10

Margaret McCaffreyMargaret McCaffrey of East Setauket and Westhampton Beach, died May 10. She was 74.

Born April 19, 1942, to John and Anne (Bane) McCaffrey, both of whom predeceased her; she was raised in the Bronx and attended St. Raymond’s Elementary School and Preston High School. She was a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and Hunter College and went on to be an elementary school teacher in New York City public schools for five years, followed by three decades at the Three Village School District. Survivors said that more than 1,000 children learned and grew from her kindness, generosity, zest for life and bright smile.

She is survived by a brother, John McCaffrey and wife Diane; two nieces, Tracy and Mary; a nephew, James; a great-nephew, Sean; and great-nieces Kelly and Regan.

Visiting was at the Bryant Funeral Home in East Setauket on May 12. A funeral Mass was held on May 13 at the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Port Jefferson, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside.

The person stated to Westhampton Beach Village Police that the postcard had disturbing and false information regarding a finch bird.
