Marie Cannito Tufo Of Eastport Dies September 14

Marie Cannito Tufo

Marie Cannito Tufo of Eastport, formerly of Remsenburg, died on Friday, September 14. She was 84.

Born to Ralph and Jennie Cannito on December 10, 1927, in the Bronx, she attended Hunter College of the City of New York and was a graduate of Empire State College.

Ms. Tufo is survived by her six children, Elisa Tufo Marshall and her fiancé Michael, Guy Tufo and his wife Susan, Vincent Tufo and his wife Deborah, Christopher Tufo and his fiancée Hedy, 
Stephen Tufo and his wife Sheryl and Jennifer Tufo Feuerman and her husband Joseph. 
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dr. Vincent J. Tufo; and a brother, Vincent Cannito.

The family received friends at the 
Follett and Werner Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18. A 
funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, September 19, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Quiogue.
