Marie Lousie Dower Dies April 12

Marie Louise Denny Dower died on April 12, 2019, in Fort Collins, Colorado, at the home of her daughter, Sheila Spring. She was 88.

Ms. Dower was born on August 22, 1930, in the Bronx to Louise Bennett Denny and Frederick Denny, and grew up in Southampton. Along with her husband, Robert “Bob” Dower, she raised her family in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. They later moved to Stuart, Florida.

She was a devout Roman Catholic.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Dower. She is survived by her children, Bernadette Hirst, Marianne (Tom) Parciak, Michael (Nancy) Dower, Sheila (Richard) Spring and Maria Wankelman; and her grandchildren, Colin, Patrick and Spencer Hirst, Keara and Matthew Parciak, Anna Saunders, Michael Dower Jr., Kaitlin, Anna and Bridget Spring, and Katherine and Grace Wankelman.

A funeral Mass was held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins on April 17. A memorial Mass will be held this summer at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in West Hartford, Connecticut, followed by a burial.
