Lifelong Sag Harbor resident Marie V. DiGirolamo died on November 3 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 81.

Born on December 8, 1926, to Mary (née DiGiovani) and Salvatore Engineri, she attended Pierson High School in Sag Harbor.

A housewife, she was remembered by her family this week as a beautiful, loving wife and mother who was always caring for others, and who will be very much missed by all.

In addition to her husband, Peter J. DiGirolamo Sr. of Sag Harbor, she is survived by a son, Peter DiGirolamo Jr. of Sag Harbor; a daughter, Jerilyn Rothman of Sag Harbor; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kristin DiGirolamo. A sister, Josephine Tochek, predeceased her.

Mrs. DiGirolamo was cremated; no services were announced.

Hampton Bays School District residents will be asked to vote for a $67,495,698 budget for the 2025-26 school year on Tuesday, May 20. Eastport-South Manor School District voters will decide on a tax-cap compliant budget on Tuesday, May 20, and also cast votes in the Board of Education race, in which three incumbents are running unopposed.
