Marilyn Eileen Pellegrino of Westhampton Beach died on February 22. She was 81.

She was born on April 12, 1939 in Brooklyn, to Rose (nee Natoli) and Otto Renz.

Ms. Pellegrino worked for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department for 43 years as an account clerk. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Westhampton Beach.

She was predeceased by her husbands Robert A. Smith and Anthony Pellegrino; sister Rose Smith; and son-in-law Gordon Engel.

Ms. Pellegrino is survived by her children Robert A. Smith, Jr. (Donna) of Remsenburg, Theresa Engel of East Quogue, Diana Mathews (Kevin) of Westhampton and Michael Smith (Marisol) of Mexico; grandchildren Nicole, Ashley, Kevin, Lauren, Justin, Zahara and Marilyn; great-grandchildren Cody and Gabrielle; nieces Kathleen Fallica and Karen Neff; nephews Eugene Fallica and Raymond Neff; and companion Joseph S. Grattan Sr.

The family received friends on Friday, February 26, at Werner Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday morning, February 27, at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Westhampton Beach. Interment followed at the Westhampton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kanas Center for Hospice Care, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, New York 11978-7048 would be appreciated.
