Marion Gillette of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Southampton died at her home in Southampton on June 18, after a long illness. She was 85.
Born on August 4, 1930, in Mukden, Manchuria, she grew up in La Jolla and Santa Barbara, California. She graduated from Stanford University in 1951. She was an accomplished artist and was passionate about history and traveling.
Ms. Gillette is survived by her husband, Richard Page Gillette, whom she married in 1952; and her children, Richard Cochran Gillette of South Carolina, and Paige Gillette Louthan of Southampton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Lamont Cochran of California. She was predeceased by a son, William Gillette.
The funeral was private.
