Marjorie Brumsey of Southampton died on June 10. She was 82.
Ms. Brumsey was born February 24, 1939, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Claude Bright Jr. and Annie Harper Bright. She attended Currituck Union School in North Carolina where she met George Brumsey Jr.

She found time to attend her children’s and grandchildren’s events, football games, basketball games and track meets. She loved cooking, shopping and did whatever was necessary to make her family happy, her family noted.
She also loved traveling, they said. Every Memorial Day holiday, she would look forward to the annual trip to Elizabeth City, North Carolina to attend the family reunion.
