Mary B. Janus of Hampton Bays died on November 22 in Cooperstown, where she had traveled to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her family. She was 65.
Ms. Janus worked for many years as a registered nurse with the Dominican Sisters Family Health Service in Hampton Bays before retiring. She was a member of the Irish American Society and the Ancient Order of Hibernians of the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays.
Ms. Janus is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Fallo and husband Mark of Jefferson, Diane Carroll and husband Robert of Hampton Bays, and Deborah Abbott of Hampton Bays. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Erin and Daniel Fallo, Robert Carroll III, Eric Jr. and Dylan Abbott, and Anthony and Anais Perez.
Visiting hours were scheduled to be held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on November 25 and 26, with a parish prayer service offered by the clergy of the Church of St. Rosalie. A funeral Mass was held on November 27 at St. Rosalie’s with interment following at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.
