Mary E. Kosciusko
Mary E. Kosciusko of Southampton died on November 16 at the Cold Springs Hills Rehabilitation Center in Woodbury following a short illness. She was 80.
Born on March 3, 1932, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Michael Mojeski and Nora (Zuhoski) Mojeski, she was a graduate of Southampton High School. She was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed time in her flower gardens. An active member of the Our Lady of Poland Roman Catholic Church in Southampton, she was a member of the church’s Ladies Guild.
Predeceased by her husband, Michael R. Kosciusko, to whom she was married for 60 years, and a brother, John Mojeski of Southampton, she was survived by a sister, Lucille Field, of Virginia; two children, Michael J. Kosciusko and wife Kathleen (Messina ) Kosciusko of Manhasset; and John M. Kosciusko and wife Claudia (Van Deurzen) Kosciusko of Southampton; five grandchildren, Isabella, Eva, Anna, Alexandra and Nicholas. She leaves behind her cat, Kitty.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 20, at Our Lady of Poland Roman Catholic Church in Southampton.
