Mary E. Odell of Hampton Bays died on November 19, 2018. She was 82.
Born August 22, 1936, in Manhattan, and raised in Tampa, Florida, she moved to New York in the early 1950s. She met Harold R. Odell in Southampton in the mid-1950s and they married in 1958; Mr. Odell Sr. died in 1981.
She worked with her mother, Margaret E. Spiers, who owned the Waltmar Adult Home, and at Kings Park Psychiatric Hospital. She also had worked at Stony Brook University.
Predeceased by a granddaughter, Christina Downs, she is survived by her sister, Margaret London; daughters, Kathryn Odell-Hamilton, Susan Odell-Pepe; a son, Harold R. Odell Jr.; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass took place at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays on November 27; interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery.
