Mary F. (née Weaver) Sieber of East Quogue died on June 14 in Tucson, Arizona.
Mrs. Sieber was born in Syracuse, New York, to Frances and Cashmir Weaver.
According to loved ones, she was always a lady in the best sense of the word, and was known for her grace and down-to-earth common sense. She was tirelessly curious, an avid reader, and a student of ancient archeology, science, nature and medicine. Her love of animals was well known to those close to her.
Mrs. Sieber enjoyed applying her talents to a variety of interests, including: managing her family’s custom home construction business, sewing, gardening, landscaping and yard projects. She enjoyed singing, dancing, hiking, exploring and traveling.
Her lifelong passion was her garden, which was featured in a photo essay in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill; two daughters, Lynn and her husband Tom of Arizona, and Lori; a son, Bill and his wife Jill of California; two brothers, Lou and his wife Jane of New York and Stephen Williams of California; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Monica and William Sieber of California, and Timothy and David Wils of Arizona; and eight nieces and nephews, Gail, Tom, Craig, Barry, Michael, Kathy, Betsy and Peggy.
A memorial service will be held at the Sieber home in East Quogue on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m.
