Mary Sireci Of Sag Harbor Dies June 20

Mary Sireci of Sag Harbor died at her home on June 20. She was 40.

The daughter of George Hadjipopov, who predeceased her, and Henrika Conner, she had moved to her home just over a year ago, having lived in Noyac before then.

Ms. Sireci attended Mercy High School, East Hampton High School and Hofstra, where she earned a degree in journalism. She worked as a business development and marketing manager. An active member of her community, she volunteered at The Retreat, the Ladies Village Improvement Association and at Sag Harbor Elementary School. She was a member of the Old Montauk Athletic Club.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Sarah M. Sireci; cousins, Adam Pieniazek, Jadzia Pieniazek Ajemian, Stephan Bugaj, Katrina Bugaj, Janine Bugaj, Mark Bartold, Alexa Duarte, Joe Burns and J.D. Burns; and her former husband, Mario T. Sireci.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 25, at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
