Maureen Smith Of Westhampton Beach Dies September 11

Maureen Smith

Maureen Smith of Westhampton Beach died at Stony Brook University Hospital on Tuesday, September 11. She was 77.

Ms. Smith was born in Brooklyn on February 14, 1935. She was a retired manager at the Riverhead Savings Bank and also a retired clerk in the tax receiver’s office in Southampton Town Hall.

She is survived by her two daughters, Terry Raynor of Westhampton Beach and Sharon Ibello and her husband John of 
Coram; a sister, Patricia Strom of Central Islip; and five 
grandchildren, James, Justin, Connor, Sean and Megan.

She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Smith; and her son-in-law, whom she considered her son, Mark Raynor.

The family received friends at Follett and Werner Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, where a funeral Mass was also celebrated. Interment followed at the Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn.
