Memorial benefit set for Charles Golding

A memorial service and benefit in honor of Charlie Golding of Westhampton Beach, who died on May 6 at the age of 39 from complications of liver disease, will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at John Scott’s Surf Shack on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach.

Tickets are $20 and will benefit the Charlie Golding Memorial Fund, set up for Mr. Golding’s children, Chase and Paige Golding.

The family will also host a fund-raiser in his honor on Sunday, August 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Neptune Beach Club/The Drift Inn on Dune Road in East Quogue. Proceeds from that event will go toward a scholarship fund for other Westhampton Beach School District students. For additional information, visit charliegoldingmemorialfund.com.

A simple fact about the SALT deductions is being obscured with Nick Lakota’s statements in the news. If the 2017 tax rules expire, residents will once again be able to deduct 100 percent of their state and local taxes.
