East Hampton
 

A short Memorial Day “Lost at Sea” service will be held at Main Beach at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30, hosted by the Everit Albert Herter VFW Post 550 and American Legion Post 419. Afterward, a parade will start at Guild Hall at 10 a.m. and make its way to the Hook Mill for a ceremony.

The day before, members of the legion and the VFW visited each cemetery in their area to honor deceased veterans buried at each.

Sag Harbor
 

The Sag Harbor American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will observe Memorial Day with their annual parade on Monday, May 30.

The parade, which will step off from the World War I Memorial at Otter Pond at the corner of Main Street and Jermain Avenue, will proceed north through the village, stopping at war memorials, the Main Street Firehouse, and the Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter Veterans Memorial Bridge, where wreaths will be laid, before concluding at Marine Park.

Sag Harbor Mayor Jim Larocca will give the keynote address at the park, and the Sag Harbor Community Band will perform.

Veterans, Scouts, the American Legion Auxiliary, public officials, and the Sag Harbor High School Band are expected to participate.

A reception will follow at the American Legion on Main Street.

Southampton
 

The Commission on Veterans Patriotic Events will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30, at Agawam Park, following a parade starting at the First Presbyterian Church parking lot at 10:45 a.m. The guest speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Jesse J. Fritz, commander of the 106th Maintenance Squadron, 106th Rescue Wing, at Gabreski Airport.

Hampton Bays
 

A Memorial Day parade organized by the American Legion Hand-Aldrich Post 924 will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 30, at Nick Lombardi Memorial Park, next to the American Legion on Ponquogue Avenue, continue to Montauk Highway and end at Good Ground Cemetery. Participants will include the police department, fire department, ambulance corps, Coast Guard, Scouts, veterans and the VFW color guard. At the cemetery, Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman will be the guest speaker. Following the service, all are invited to the American Legion for hot dogs and beer.

Westhampton Beach
 

American Legion Post 834 will hold a Memorial Day event on Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Westhampton Cemetery on Montauk Highway. The Westhampton Beach Fire Department and the Westhampton Beach High School Band will participate.

VFW Post 5350 will hold a service at the post, 101 Old Riverhead Road, Westhampton Beach, at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30. The keynote speaker will be VFW Life member and Vietnam veteran Don Cannet. Refreshments will follow.
