Mick McNamara
Mick McNamara of Pittsford, formerly of Southampton, died in Pittsford on Friday, February 10, after a long battle with cancer. He was 52.
Born to William and Hazel McNamara in Southampton, Mr. McNamara graduated from Southampton High School in 1977. Many will remember him as a great friend, baseball player, coach, referee, and an avid fisherman. Kind and charismatic, Mr. McNamera never lost his sense of humor or his faith in God, family said.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline; daughters, Chelsea and Mikayla of Pittsford; siblings, Jimmy and his wife Chris of Sag Harbor, Danny and his wife Denyse of Water Mill, Terry and his wife Denise of Southamtpon, Nina and her husband Tom Strong of East Hampton, Donna and her husband J. Andreassi of Water Mill; sister-in-law Stephanie of Southampton; 19 nieces and nephews, and nine grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Gary, who also lived in Southampton.
Visitation took place at Miller Funeral Homes in Pittsford. A funeral Mass was held at St. Louis Church also in Pittsford.
