Tom Gogola’s article regarding the Southampton Town Board meeting on January 23 [“Southampton Town Board Passes Bounty of Bond Authorizations,” 27east.com, January 24] was missing vital information.
He reported that half of the bond authorizations were for beach nourishment in Bridgehampton, Sagaponack and North Sea. Missing from the reporting was the fact that these bonds will be paid for by the people who live in these taxing districts — not the general public.
With sand replenishment being such a hot topic, not including this fact is a disservice to Southampton taxpayers and the readers of The Southampton Press.
