Morgan Patrick Croke died May 21, 2022, at his home in Southampton. He was 69. Born July 16, 1952, in Southampton to John and Anne Croke, both of whom predeceased him, as did a sister, Melissa, he is survived by his brother, Michael; his sons, Brendan and Dylan Croke; a niece, Jesse Croke; nephew Miller Croke; grandchildren Autumn, Tyler, Naia and Niki; and two daughters-in-law, Emily and Tomomi.

Survivors said Croke was a man of many talents and interests. In the early 1980s, he was a small business owner, owning and operating Croke Pest Control, an extermination service. He was also a skilled carpenter by trade, working in the later years of his career building and remodeling many of the fine homes in the Hamptons.

He was also a keen investor, displaying passion and success in both the stock market and local real estate.

His personal hobbies ranged from spearfishing and clamming, to clay shooting and field shooting, to playing musical instruments, enjoying novels, theater, film, the arts, poetry and sports.

Survivors said he was an involved father, grandfather and uncle and that he always attended and volunteered at his sons’ high school sporting events and never missed an opportunity to spoil his grandchildren on birthdays and holidays. He had a sharp sense of humor, a sensitive, caring heart and the soul of a poet, all of which were self-evident in all of his endeavors, they said.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton.
