Nancy Rossetti died on January 19, 2017. She was 47.
Born on June 28, 1971, and raised in Southampton, graduating from high school in 1989, she attended the University of California, Irvine, and went on to receive a master’s degree from Pepperdine University.
Survivors said she was an active and loving mother, daughter, sister, and teacher. She taught at Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School in Compton, California, for the past five years. At the school she was also the tennis coach and enjoyed teaching her students about gardening. She also enjoyed working at Trader Joe’s.
Survivors said she enjoyed hiking, traveling, baking, and walking on the beaches on both coasts, at home in California and on her frequent family visits to Southampton.
Ms. Rossetti is survived by her two children, Edwin and Emma Carney; her mother, Lois Oliver; her father and step-mother, Stephen and Ginny Rossetti; her sister, Jennifer Rossetti; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation is Sunday, Febuary 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Connell Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 11, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home; interment will follow at Southampton Cemetery.
