Nell H. Jarosz of Hampton Bays died at home in the company of her two sons on Friday, May 8. She was 86.
Born in Brooklyn in 1923, she moved to Westbury in the 1930s and lived there for more than 30 years.
She worked in the commercial insurance industry for FM Global for many years, first in the Jericho office and later at headquarters in Rhode Island.
After retiring, she lived on the East End for nearly 30 years. Mrs. Jarosz enjoyed cooking and took pride in serving the freshest foods available.
In addition to her two sons, Richard Jarosz of Coram and Alan Jarosz of Sag Harbor, she is survived by a grandson, Zachary of Thousand Oaks, California. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester Jarosz.
A graveside service was held on May 12 at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978 would be appreciated by the family.
