Nicholas Zappola Sr. Dies January 23

Nicholas Zappola Sr. of West Babylon, formerly of West Sayville, died on January 23, 2018. He was 84.

Mr. Zappola was predeceased by his wife, Susan. He is survived by his children, Linda Allan (Marc), Dana Figurito (Dominic), Susan Kearns (William) and Nicholas Zappola (Susan); his grandchildren, Daria, Dominique, Deanna, William, Kara, Christa, Alyssa, Nicholas, Holly, Myles and Sonria; and great-grandchildren, Laila, Matthew and Jackson. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob, Dominick and Patricia Zappola, and Angie D’Aries. He was predeceased by siblings, Nunzio Zappola and Anna Isidore.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
