Tuesday’s nor’easter forced the postponement of a few postseason games and meets scheduled for local teams.

The cross country division championships that were originally scheduled for Tuesday will now be run this Thursday, October 28, at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park with the first races expected to begin at 1 p.m.

The second and final day of the boys golf Suffolk County championships, which were also originally slated for Tuesday, have been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 2, at Smithtown Landing Golf Course. The first day of the tournament went off without a hitch on Monday.

Even though it was scheduled to play Wednesday night, the Southampton boys soccer Suffolk County Class B semifinal game in which it was scheduled to host Mattituck will now be played this Thursday night at 6 p.m. due to some reshuffling the county had to do because of the storm.
