I have been playing pickleball regularly for two years at SYS and have never seen anyone being rude or aggressive toward the staff [“SYS Serves a Timeout to Pickleball Group,” 27east.com, January 31].
It’s hard to comprehend why literally hundreds of players were punished instead of the few players who supposedly acted out. The board and management couldn’t think of a better way to handle this issue? It is like school recess being canceled for the actions of several bad apples.
I think there must have been a better way to handle this issue — very disappointing.
