Regarding “LaLota Votes for Spending Compromise That Raises SALT Cap, but Only for Five Years” [27east.com, July 3]: People should be aware of exactly how deceptive Nick LaLota’s description of success is, and that the deception is clearly deliberate. I received Mr. LaLota’s press releases about the SALT cap. At the very bottom of the page, in nearly unreadable, tiny, very light italic-style script were the full details of the scenario that gives a $5,100 savings: a couple earning $250,000 who pay $18,000 in taxes, $12,000 in mortgage interest and donate $4,600. The amazing part of The Express News Group is that it continues to carry water for the Democratic Party despite what it’s done to America and the American people. Congratulations to our local radio hosts Gary Sapiane and Bill Evans of radio station WLNG. They have just been inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
