Oddone, Reister family in court for run-up to murder trial

Dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt, and looking pale and more heavyset than in his mug shot from a year ago, Anthony Oddone sat solemnly in a Riverhead courtroom last week while his attorney, Sarita Kedia, and Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney Denise Merrifield argued over the admissibility of evidence in his upcoming murder trial.

CMEE To Host Family New Year's Eve Event

The Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton will ring in 2026 with a daytime New Year’s Eve celebration designed especially for young families. The museum will host its annual New Year’s Eve Bash on Wednesday, December 31, from 10 a.m. to noon. During the event, children will make noisemakers, share resolutions for the coming year and enjoy open play, crafts and dancing with CMEE’s resident DJ. WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Dario Vasquez, 26, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Westhampton Beach Village Police on December 9 and charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, a misdemeanor. At 1:09 a.m., Police said they observed a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Mill Road in an unsafe manner by failing to maintain its designated lane.
