One person was flown to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a two-car crash in Bridgehampton on Wednesday morning. The crash took place at the intersection of Lumber Lane and the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike and was reported to police at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday. According to Southampton Town Police Detective Sergeant Lisa Costa, the driver of a four-door Honda was at a stop sign on Lumber Lane and attempting to turn left onto the turnpike when they collided with a landscaping truck driving northbound on the road. The Honda driver was taken via Bridgehampton Fire Department Ambulance to the ball field at the Bridgehampton Elementary School on School Street where they were transferred to a Suffolk County helicopter en route to Stony Brook Hospital. The driver of the landscaping truck was uninjured.The Bridgehampton Fire Department, fire police and ambulance, Suffolk County Aviation and Southampton Town Police all responded to the scene.
