Ora L. Havens
Ora L. Havens of East Hampton died on January 20 at Southampton Hospital. He was 81.
Born December 12, 1929, in Springs to Henry and Marion Havens, he loved fishing and being by the water, survivors said. Mr. Havens worked for the New York State Highway Department and was a devoted father and grandfather. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite teams, the Mets and the Steelers. He will be greatly missed, family said.
Mr. Havens was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Ida Mae Havens in 2001. He is survived by seven children, Darlene Stettinger, Cindy Pouliot and Patricia Havens-Judy, all of East Hampton, and Robert Havens, Mark Havens, Charles Havens and Terry Havens, all of Mastic; a sister, Mildred Forbell of East Hampton; two brothers, Fred Havens of East Hampton and Floyd Havens of Southampton; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five siblings, Charlotte Benware, William Havens, Kathleen McNeil, Lindey Havens, and Phyllis King.
Visitation was held January 25 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Interment was private.
