Members of Escola de Samba Boom put on their weekly drum circle at Sagg Main Beach on Monday night, with the benefit of parking passes for non-resident attendees that were paid for by Jay Schneiderman, one of the group's founders and a former town supervisor. But Schneiderman said that the current Town Board seems to be trying to put an end to the drum circles by insisting that the group get permits for the informal gatherings and pay for parking passes for non-resident members despite parking at town beaches after 6 p.m. traditionally not requiring a permit.
