It has come to our attention that some of the mailings going out about our mayoral race have taken a negative stand toward Mayor Jesse Warren. We, as candidates, have no animus toward any other candidates. Our goal is to run a clean and fair campaign.
We would like to be clear that all mailings SV21 has sent out have been positive, focused on our candidates, and forward thinking about what our village can and should look like. We have no intentions, and have never had any intentions, of smearing the other candidates in this race. It is not our style and never has been.
Our records speak for themselves, and we look forward to winning this election and being able to give back to our village. We regret that this race has become so divided and nasty. However, we cannot control how people feel about various candidates, and the events that have taken place in the village over the last two years. The only thing we can control is how we conduct ourselves and what we do for our community.
Don’t forget to vote on June 18. We look forward to brighter days ahead.
