Pamela L. Dox, formerly of Southampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the age of 77 in Stuart, FL where she lived with her husband John.
Pamela was born September 23, 1947, in Miami, FL where she lived as a child until her family moved to New Rochelle, NY. Pamela graduated from New Ro-chelle High School and then attended LIU Southampton College. She graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and education. While at LIU Pamela took classes from such renowned painters as Larry Rivers and Fairfield Porter. While in Southampton, Pamela met her future husband, John Dox, and they were married in 1968.
Pamela and husband John raised their children on Elm Street in Southampton. Pamela taught grade school and art classes in the local school system before dedicating herself full-time to homemaking. She is remembered as a wonderful cook in the kitchen. The artwork and pottery pieces she created remain treasured by her family and friends. Her love of family, pets, plants and animals were an important part of her life. She was always generous with her talents, time and love which included being an active supporter of the Guide Dog Foundation of Smithtown, NY, where she dedicated her time as a puppy walker and made many lifelong friends.
Pamela and husband John relocated to Stuart Florida in 2016. Pamela is survived by her husband John, son Matthew, daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Jason Korte, brother Robert Weintraub, sister Bethany Green, and her six grandchildren Johanna, John, Peyton, Parker, Caden and Eagan.
Pamela will be remembered and missed by all who knew her and crossed her path in life. As per her wish-es, cremation and services were private. Her family would appreciate donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Guide Dog Foundation of Smithtown, NY.
