SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Last Thursday morning, Village Police were contacted by a home security company. Several interior alarms had gone off inside a Madison Street residence. Police were quickly on the scene, where they learned that a woman who was cleaning the house did not have the proper code to disarm the alarm system, and had inadvertently set multiple alarms off. Jaime Javier Segovia Valarezo, 46, was charged with misdemeanor DWI on Friday night just yards from his home in Springs after fleeing the scene of an accident in Sag Harbor in a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup, according to East Hampton Town and Sag Harbor Village police. Segovia Valarezo was headed south on Hampton Street in Sag Harbor when he went off road, striking a Route 114 road sign, then plowed through fencing and shrubbery in front of private residence, police said. Jose M Guzman Hurtado, 27, of Southampton was charged with felony DWI on Valentine’s Day night in Sag Harbor by the Sag Harbor Village Police. He was also charged with a couple of misdemeanor crimes, including driving in a vehicle not equipped with an engine interlock device installed, required because of a prior conviction for an alcohol-related vehicular offense. NORTH HAVEN — A North Haven man approached a Sag Harbor Village Police officer in the early morning hours of February 12 on Wharf Street. The man told the officer that there had been a disturbance at his residence earlier involving his sister. The officer went to the residence with the man, as well as calling in neighboring police departments.
