Partisan, Not Just

One former judge in Southampton told me to run for New York State Assembly if I wanted to change the law. They’re a Republican who didn’t know on what charges Wisconsin’s Eduardo Flores-Ruiz was arrested, writing that he was trying to overthrow the government. Instead, it was a domestic violence charge.

Judge Hannah Duggan in Wisconsin is a circuit court judge who has taught at Marquette Law.

There’s no need for me to run for Assembly.

Southampton’s town justice didn’t know that in New York no one was allowed to look at her docket and go into her courtroom and arrest someone who was being tried on another charge.

How much more of a radical judge can Southampton’s former judge be?

For one thing, they voted for Nick Lalota, a congressman who didn’t live in the district. Yet, in running for judge, they ran on a platform of justice.

For a judge to vote for someone who can’t vote for themselves is partisan, not just.

Before submitting this, I spoke extensively with someone very, very experienced with these legal matters.

Thank you for publishing my experience with Southampton’s judiciary.
