Patricia A. Restivo
Patricia A. (née Kenney) Restivo of Sag Harbor died on September 10 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 72.
Born April 26, 1938, in Brooklyn, she was the only child of Agnes (née Weaver) and Harold Kenney. She attended Visitation, Fontbonne Academy, and St. Claire’s Nursing School and worked for many years in the health care industry, first as a registered nurse at hospitals in the Bronx and Bayshore, then as a marketing manager at Quality Care; and finally as a social services coordinator at Southampton Hospital.
Her true love was family, friends and the summers spent working as a camp nurse at Camp St. Vincent in North Haven and Camp St. Regis in East Hampton. A resident of Sag Harbor since 1967—and before that of Bayridge, Brooklyn—she had a passion for the village and was a founding member of the Sag Harbor Youth Center. After retiring, she volunteered at the Sag Harbor Windmill and conducted blood pressure screenings at the Medicine Shoppe in Southampton.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Bromley of Hewlett, whose husband Michael predeceased her in August; two sons, William Restivo of New York City and Robert Restivo and his wife Amy of New Jersey; and five granddaughters. She is also survived by Vincent Restivo of Sag Harbor, to whom she was married for 21 years before divorcing in 1978; the two remained close friends.
A funeral service was held on September 15 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor. Allen Youngs read a proclamation from the Town of Southampton in recognition of her contributions to the community. Following the service, she was honored with a police escorted funeral procession through Sag Harbor. Interment was at Oceanview Cemetery on Staten Island.
