Paul Lucas of East Quogue died on Friday, September 19. He was 62.
The son of John and Sophie Lucas of East Quogue, he graduated from Westhampton Beach High School and earned degrees in horticultural science from Farmingdale College and California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. He was self employed.
Mr. Lucas enjoyed boating, fishing, and creating landscape designs. Survivors said this week that spending time with his family was one of the things he enjoyed most.
He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Doucette and her husband Raymond of Rome, New York, Christina Hurley and her husband William of Hanson, Massachusetts, and Elizabeth Savill and her husband Ronald of Whitman, Massachusetts; two brothers, John Lucas Jr. and Mark Lucas and his wife Sharon of Groton, Massachusetts; 13 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his partner, Evelyn Hotchkiss.
Cremation was on September 22. Services will be held at a later date.
