Paul Warhola of Eastport died on Friday, August 14. He was 47.
Mr. Warhola was born on January 3, 1962, to Mary (née Harkin) and Paul Warhola. He was a New York firefighter with Engine 221/Ladder 104 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, for 15 years. Known as a man with diverse interests, survivors recalled this week that he was a natural leader who led by example and cared for others without expectation or exception.
He is survived by his wife Arleen Warhola; a son, Paul; a daughter, Tiana; his mother, Mary; four sisters, Tricia, Shelly, Kerry and MaryLou; and a brother, Stephen.
Memorial services were held Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18, at Sinnickson’s Moriches Funeral Home in Center Moriches. Religious services were held Wednesday, August 19, at St. John The Evangelist Church in Center Moriches.
In lieu of flowers, donations to: Uniformed Firefighter’s Association, 204 East 23rd Street, New York, New York 10010, C/O: UFA Widows’ and Children’s Fund, with checks made payable to the Thomas R. Elsasser Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
