Peconic Land Trust Receives Conservation Partnership Awards

New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr. announced this week that the Peconic Land Trust has been awarded two Conservation Partnership Awards through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to protect open space, improve water quality and support the local economy. The Peconic Land Trust will receive one $34,500 grant for stewardship and resource management, in addition to a $44,000 transaction grant. The Peconic Land Trust is among 50 nonprofit land trusts across the state to receive a grant for a total of 69 projects.
