Pedro A. Vargas
Pedro A. Vargas, a 23-year resident of East Hampton, died on June 5 at the Hospice Inn at Huntington. He was 56.
Born June 18, 1953, in San Jose, Costa Rica, to Floricia (née Castro) and Antonio Vargas, he worked as a house painter.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Mirna Vargas Barrantes of East Hampton; two sons, Josue Vargas and Erik Vargas of New York City; three sisters, Rita Vargas and Maira Vargas, both of Costa Rica, and Nidia Vargas of Long Island; a brother, Guillermo Vargas of Long Island; and a grandson, Antuan Vargas. He was predeceased by his mother and a son, Pablo W. Vargas.
A wake was held on June 6 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. A funeral mass followed at Iglesia Faro a las Naciones/Bridgehampton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in San Jose, Costa Rica.
