The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will be performing “Peter and the Wolf,” a collaboration between the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the Hampton Festival Orchestra and narrator Keith Cornelius.
Four shows are planned: at LTV Studios on Monday, July 29, at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.; and at the Children’s Museum of the East End on Wednesday, July 31, also at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Peter and the Wolf will be danced by the students of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. The ballet is choreographed by HBTS director Sara Jo Strickland and features the costumes of Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. The score will be played by the Hampton Festival Orchestra, a group of professional musicians from the East End. They will be conducted by Andrew Perea.
Sergei Prokofiev’s score introduces the ballet’s characters as the sounds of musical instruments.
Tickets for the LTV performance are available at ltveh.org and cost $30 for children and $35 for adults. VIP seating is also available.
Tickets for the CEE performace are available at cmee.org and priced the same.
