Peter Schaefer Of Sag Harbor Dies March 17

Peter Schaefer of Sag Harbor died on March 17. He was 54.

Born on March 10, 1962, he was the son of Vernon and Elizabeth Schaefer, both of whom predeceased him. He graduated from Pierson High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He worked as a banker.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Gaudiello); two children, Paige Schaefer and Peter Schaefer; a brother, Perry Schaefer of Michigan; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Patrick Schaefer.

Visitation was on March 21 at Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. A funeral Mass took place on March 22 at St. Andrew’s Church; burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
