Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Southampton Town Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man caught on security cameras using a stolen credit card.
According to a Crime Stoppers alert, someone took a wallet containing the credit card from a car parked in front of a home in Shinnecock Hills last June, between the evening of June 20 and the following morning.
Images of a man police said was using the stolen plastic at the Speedway on County Road 39 in Southampton was captured on June 22.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information may call anonymously, police said, by dialing 1-800-220-TIPS, or use a mobile app available through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3Tips, or submit information online at www.P3Tips.com. All calls, texts, and emails are kept confidential, police said.
