Premise and a Promise

I began my campaign for trustee with a premise: Residents want more imagination and more independent thinking on the Southampton Village Board.

I also began with a promise: to remain independent, keep an open mind, and to listen, both during and after the campaign.

Meeting with and listening to hundreds of village residents over the past two months has been an unbelievable experience. I am grateful not only for the support and encouragement I have received but especially for the rich perspectives and passions you have shared with me.

Hearing from so many citizens has confirmed for me the reasons I chose to run in the first place: to be a fair, informed and constructive trustee. It has also confirmed that I can be an effective member of the board, continuing to work effectively with other board members, as I have done for years. My curiosity, my results orientation, and mostly my love for the village match up well with the skills needed to make progress on sewer/septic issues, water quality, infrastructure and transparency.

When you vote this Friday at Village Hall, Monday through Wednesday, or by absentee ballot, I would be grateful for your support.
