Southampton Town lifeguards should be on duty until the end of September, on weekends at least, on one beach on the ocean. My choice would be Ponquogue Beach, since that is the busiest beach. If the weather is nice, we are going into the water, lifeguards or not. We should be protected.
New York State parks, Hither Hills and Jones, have lifeguards full time for two weeks in September and weekends until the end of September.
