Proven Record

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for reelection for trustee in the Village of North Haven.

I have had the privilege of serving the residents since 2020, and am running for reelection on a proven record of having always voted on behalf of the best interests of North Haven residents, and the protection and enhancement of our beautiful village.

These are some of the principles that I have lived by as your elected North Haven trustee over the past five years: I advocate for strong budgetary and fiscal responsibility. I ask clarifying questions to get to the right decisions. I strive for balance and inclusion in all aspects of the board’s work. I value transparency and accuracy in communications and I respect and abide by the governing procedures of village government. I believe in the democratic process, even at the lowest level of government in our Village in North Haven. Every board member has a vote and an equal voice and I exercise mine with thought, care and commitment.

I am proud to share just a few of my recent accomplishments as a trustee: I am dedicated to improving our community and the environment. I have successfully obtained $300,000 in grants over the past two years from the Town of Southampton CPF to implement projects to improve the water quality in Fresh Pond, Great Salt Pond, Polle’s Creek, and Ryder’s Pond, and to implement an upgraded innovative alternative septic system at Village Hall.

I have authored and implemented village code to protect our shoreline and wetlands. I am consistently an advocate for the environment.

I am a dedicated volunteer at the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry, and established and coordinate the annual holiday toy drive. I also serve as a board member on the Sag Harbor Lions Club and the North Haven Manor Association.

I seek your vote to ensure North Haven’s future and guarantee our ongoing quality of life in our special village. There are many decisions facing the board that require thoughtful consideration — cell service, zoning code revisions regarding home sizes, to name just a few.

The election in North Haven is on Tuesday, June 17. Over the upcoming weeks, I hope to speak to most North Haven voters to understand your interests and concerns regarding our village. Please look for me when I am in your neighborhood knocking on doors.
