Public Health Risk

I had some friends out on Sunday and went for a drive to the inlet. The parking lot was full. It was nice to see so many people fishing and sunbathing.

I noticed a line forming at the lone porta-potty; some little children were on line. Is there some way the county or town can provide additional units? I feel this is a basic service not only for visitors but town residents with season stickers.

I shudder to think what the sanitary conditions were like in this lone unit, and the real risk that people were exposed to, having to wait on line, with no distancing or facility to wash their hands. This to me was a frightening example of an unnecessary public health risk and a failure of government to follow COVID-19 guidelines.

Please — this is the Town of Southampton. We can do better than this.
