The Town Board held a Zoom meeting on September 28 regarding the affordable housing project proposed for County Road 39. We had a group of eight with a few computers. We were able to Zoom into the meeting but for some strange reason could not raise our hands to speak.
This important issue should not be discussed via a Zoom meeting. This is a sensitive area, bumper-to-bumper traffic most of the day, and the town looking to approve 60 apartments open to anyone in the country. This is not for our local residents and certainly not the venue.
Not everyone has access to Zoom or knows how to operate it. The town needs to put this on hold until such time as we residents can appear personally to speak our three minutes.
