The Quogue School PTA had great success with two major events last week: Field Day and the annual Chicken Dinner. Space does not allow this week for all the justly deserved gratitude and salutations offered by PTA co-presidents Traci Duke and Jill Creighton, but At Quaquanantuck applauds all those whose generous donations of funds, time, tireless energy and moral support helped to make both undertakings so successful.
The Lily Pad on Jessup Avenue is now selling Quogue Historical Society commemorative T-shirts. The tees were designed by a local artist with a hunter green outline of the Weathervane on a crisp white background along with the date of the so-called “Quogue Purchase,” 1659. Sales of these handsome historical tees will benefit the Quogue Historical Society.
Available in adult sizes, the tees are $6 apiece or two for $10.
As a courtesy to the Village Office, the Lily Pad is also the exclusive purveyor of the Official Quogue Village T-Shirt. The navy, green, or white tees boast the corporate seal of Quogue Village, along with the date of incorporation, 1928, and the “purchase” date, 1659. Village shirts come in toddler, children’s and adult sizes, and are $10 each.
