As the Police Benevolent Association president of Southampton Village, I am writing this letter on behalf of Zach Epley. The Southampton Village PBA is proud to announce the endorsement of Zach Epley for Southampton Village trustee for the September 2020 election.
Our PBA has been in existence since 1957 and has never endorsed anyone for an elected position. Our organization has decided now is the time to publicly show our support for a trustee candidate.
Zach Epley is a lifelong resident of Southampton Village and resides here with his wife, Brittney, and four beautiful children. Zach is also a member of the Southampton Fire Department and has been volunteering with them for approximately eight years.
He has served on the Planning Board, is the varsity baseball coach and is a member of the Southampton Youth Services Board of Directors. Zach is also a trustee of the Southampton History Museum and serves on the ASCEND Board of Directors, which is a nonprofit that focuses on affordable housing in our community.
Zach graduated from Union College in 2010 and is currently employed by Seafield Center as an administrator.
Zach has always been a strong supporter of our first responders in the community, including the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Southampton Fire Department and the Southampton Village Police Department. His involvement in the our community and dedication to several programs show his passion to help make a positive difference. Zach’s experience has provided him with the knowledge and fortitude to be an outstanding village trustee.
We feel our village is facing difficult times with our current administration. I have worked for the Village of Southampton for approximately 17 years and have never seen the morale in Village Hall so low. We have wonderful village employees, and to see them struggling to come to work every day is upsetting.
The membership of the Southampton Village PBA strongly feels that if Zach Epley is elected as village trustee, he can help to rebuild this village and make it one of the best places to live, visit and work in. Zach has the experience needed to help move our Village Board forward in a positive direction.
